ABOUT FILMING IN GERMANY

The basis for every shoot in Germany is the clarification of shooting permits. While filming in some locations does not require filming permits, in most cases a permit is required. We support our clients in clarifying and obtaining the necessary official permits. Since the official language is German, as bilingual fixers, we ideally take care of communication with the authorities from the outset so that no time is lost.

Speaking of time, it’s difficult to generalize how long it takes to get approval. It is advisable to allow between 2-4 weeks processing time for more complex shoots in larger cities. In many cases, however, we also succeed in obtaining approvals at very short notice. For smaller shoots, a few days of processing time is usually sufficient.

If you need permits for filming in Germany or you are not sure whether a permit is necessary, please contact us.

OUR EXPERIENCE AS FIXERS

For years Christina worked as a producer and production manager, where she gained a wealth of experience with fixers. As a result, she’s keenly aware of the responsibilities that being a fixer entails. A fixer is crucial for a smooth production. The foreign production company needs to be able to rely 100% on the fixer to deliver on its promises. We take our responsibility very seriously. We also believe we are fun to work with. In the end, we are only satisfied when our clients are. [Click for testimonials].

For more than 10 years Christina has been providing production support for international productions with her team.

Our clients include BBC, DISCOVERY CHANNEL, TELEKOM, AMAZON PRIME, SAATCHI & SAATCHI, NETFLIX and many more.

AS FIXERS WE DO WHAT WE LOVE

Every production has different requirements. Sometimes all that’s needed is to arrange for filming permits, equipment or crew. Other productions require extensive research, special locations or handling the complete shoot in Germany.

And that’s exactly what we like so much about our job. Every production is different and special. One week we are filming hamsters in the famous German wilderness for Apple TV+, the next we are interviewing German national soccer players for History Channel. For the next production we do a real-people casting for a Microsoft TVC, before we dive into archive research for a historic documentary on looted art.

We love everything documentary and journalistic, but we feel equally at home in the areas of branded content and commercial shooting.

As fixers we work in major cities like Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich and Cologne, while for some productions we explore the most remote places.
